Lauded as the latest, greatest, addition to the music industry with a genuine, diverse, versatile, original style. Fredric “ThatBoyFredNo” Norris is a Rap / Hip Hop Artist, Actor, Entertainer, Musician, Songwriter, Audio Engineer, and Producer with a lifelong passion for music
Fred No drive, talent, and work ethic came naturally (God’s Gift) which has been evident since his youth. Said to have an ear for music at six weeks old, Fredric Fred No” Norris was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, February 7, 1983, to Fredric & Diane Norris, and has 3 siblings (2 sisters / 1 brother). He played guitar, drums, and piano for fun as a toddler, and would hook up his brother’s guitar and amplifier so he could play and pretend he was in a rock group. By the time Fred No was a year of age he could clearly sing the chorus line of ZZ Top’s Sharp Dressed Man and serenade his mother with the Spanish version song of Smokey Robinson’s “Being With You.” At the age of 2, Fred No was headlined in Corpus Christi, TX, local newspaper as the “Wondering Toddler” for sneaking out of the house and riding, is tricycle to the local 7 11 to buy him a soda and some batteries for his Am/FM radio, giving the police accurate directions to get him back home. Fred No would always ask his mother to buy his favorite R&B, or Rock musician tape whenever they go out on shopping sprees or just running regular errands. Also at the age of 2, Fred No would debate with his father on which side of the tape to hear on the Temptations album. As a toddler Fred No would ask his parent's friends could he borrow their albums to listen to them promising to take good care of them and return it to them. By age 6 he was taking his first percussion lesson Fred No got his first job at the age of 12 as a convenience store helper and on the side, he would ‘DJ’ for peers at local parties and special events of family/friends. Fred No, school years were filled with musical acclaims. He won first place in the sixth-grade talent show & was named Most Valuable Person at Thomas Elementary. Fred No middle school and high school years were filled with nothing but musical acclaims as well, quoted from Larry T. Barnett, Sr., Principal of Lincoln Middle School, “To say that Fred was a hit with the student body would be an understatement. His ability to rap & dance was enjoyed by all.”
Fred No, was raised in East St. Louis, IL, and later attended Carbondale, IL school district graduating with Medals of Honor in (rapping, dancing, drum solos, sports). Amazed by Fred No musical ability, his stepbrother Ricky “Mr. 28 G’s” Wiley, a well-known rapper out of East St. Louis, IL, taught Fred No how to write and rap 16 bar verses at the age of 12. Fred No continues to use the trade he has learned from his stepbrother on his journey to success in the music industry.
